About Lauren.

Hi my name is Lauren and I am a holistic community herbalist:) That means I look at the whole person instead of just symptoms to get closer to the root of the imbalance in the body. I like to focus on overall wellness and ways we can integrate plants into daily life. I believe everyone can benefit and be supported by herbs. Some of my favorite plants I’ve connected to the deepest include Holy Basil and Mimosa Flower. I’ve developed a relationship to these and many others through my studies and experiences. I studied vitalist herbalism under Christopher Smaka at the Vital Ways Institute in Portland, OR. I’ve taken a class at The Herbal Academy in Botanical Skin Care. I am currently continuing my studies under Sajah Popham at the Evolutionary School of Herbalism to further my vitalist herbalism knowledge, as well as to incorporate Ayurvedic concepts. I lived in Oregon for three years before moving back to East Coast and settling in Virginia. Living in Oregon was a beautiful journey to connect closer to the environment around me. The forests are full of mossy trees, colorful leaves, and abundant mushrooms. Hiking was my favorite activity when living there and has remained my favorite now living in Virginia.

I have found that herbalism provides a way to take responsibility for your own healing. Who knows better than you what you feel in your own body? By working with an herbalist, you can translate what you are feeling to get practical recommendations to better your overall wellness. I specialize in herbs for mental and emotional wellness and stress but can also help with supporting healthy digestion, sleep support, women’s wellness around the menstrual cycle, detoxification, and more.

I am not a doctor and do not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure diseases. Please note I do not treat specific health diagnosis or conditions, I support the whole body and particular body systems for overall well being. Thank you for the support and please share my page if you also find herbalism fascinating.
